The LLF is passionate about the fight against breast cancer and continue to be a driving force providing resources improving the lives of our survivors and supporting every avenue to find a cure. LLF’s founder (Mashonda Gilmore) and Ambassador (Lynn Lewis) are driven by that passion to prevent the disease from disabling the family unit and crippling the family’s quality of life as it relates to daily activities and routines that have become a normal part of life. Breast cancer can and often will have a negative impact, but the Lynn Lewis Foundation is determined stop cancer from taking such a devastating toll on the children and other family members that support breast cancer patients. Our approach is unique and our commitment is unwavering, as we are thankful for the opportunity to join the fight for a cure. This year the LLF has expanded their support to other rare cancers such as Carcinoid, Thyroid and Ovarian cancer, all that have impacted our women’s football community through experience witnessed by some of our very own athletes and members. Metastatic, is a cancer that has spread from the part of the body where it started (the primary site) to other parts of the body. When cancer cells break away from a tumor, they can travel to other areas of the body through the bloodstream or the lymph system, in which, is a cancer we must support in finding cures for this deadly.
